West Ham & Beckton Conservatives have selected James Clifford as our candidate for the Plaistow North by-election on Thursday 23rd November 2023.
James is a lifelong resident of Newham and is raising a family here along with his wife. He has been involved in politics for many years after experiencing the decline in the Borough under a Labour administration and is tirelessly campaigning to improve this. James understands the priorities of local residents and if elected is committed to tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, especially violence against women and girls, making our streets cleaner and campaigning for a freeze on residents' Council Tax. He will work tirelessly to ensure the Council is held to account and deliver on residents' priorities.
James says, "It's time for change and I am here to change it. Plaistow needs safer and cleaner streets, a council that will listen to residents' concerns and to keep their hard-earned money in their pockets. I will campaign determinedly on making our streets safer and cleaner, as well as freezing Council Tax."
