Stefan Mrozinski, a resident of Royal Docks and previously of Canning Town and Stratford, has been chosen by Newham Conservatives to stand as our candidate for the Newham Mayoral election in May 2014.
Speaking after his selection Stefan told supporters:
“I am excited to have been selected as the Conservative candidate for Mayor of Newham. As Mayor my top priorities will be to work with businesses to create more jobs and better opportunities for local people, end wasteful spending by the council and tackle the crime and antisocial behaviour that has become all too common in parts of the borough.”
He added:
“Newham is a great place to live. But Newham can be better. Local people I speak to feel let down by the incumbent and his team. If we can tackle crime, unemployment and council waste, we can make Newham a safer, more inclusive and better place to live.
In our campaign, we will be concentrating on the local concerns of residents, including the regeneration of Canning Town, crime in Stratford and developments at the Olympic Park.
After Stefan’s selection, West Ham Association Chairman, Tim Roll-Pickering, remarked:
“We are excited about Newham’s future, but we think Newham can be even better. Stefan has presented a compelling vision and I look forward to campaigning with him and other members of the West Ham Association.”
Over the coming months West Ham Conservatives will be meeting with residents and local groups in Forest Gate, Stratford, West Ham and beyond. Please get in touch if you would like to meet with us.
